VIPERS FCA GAME DAY

Once again the RGV Vipers Basketball and the Valley FCA team up for a Game Day event! On Saturday, February 20, 2010 the annual FCA Night with the Vipers will be held at the Dodge Arena. Lots of activities are planned for the evening. The National Anthem will be sung by the FCA and recognition via announcements and the jumbo-tron will showcase the Valley FCA all night long. Asst. Coach Paul Mokeski will address the FCA after the game and the courts will be open for a 20 minute "shoot-a-round" as well.

Tickets are $15 each with $5 going back to the Huddle that purchased the ticket. News Flash! A generous donor has made the tickets available to the FCA for $10 each, limited to the first 200 sold! Get your order in quickly as the $10 tickets will go fast! Just call the office and the tickets will be set aside for your Huddle at the "will call" window of the Dodge Arena ticket window. Deadline for tickets from the FCA is February 15th!

Game time is 8:00, doors open at 7:00.Get ready for an evening of fast paced entertainment as the Vipers play host to the Maine Red Claws and be set for the fun and excitement to follow the game.

SPRING "VICTORY" BANQUET

On February 22nd, the RGV-FCA will hold the 27th annual "Victory" Banquet at the McAllen Convention Center. Featured speaker will be NEAL JEFFREY, former Baylor quarterback (1972-74) and with the San Diego Chargers (1975-77). Neal's father Jim  was the first National President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The Jeffreys name has a storied history in the foundation and growth of the FCA ministry.

Neal will encourage those in attendance with his stories of overcoming various adversities in his life such as being a stutterer, which makes play calling an adventure for a quarterback. His humor, candor, honesty and transparency will bless and challenge all especially the youth.

Banquet doors open at 6:30 with the meal being served at 7:00. The event will end around 9:00. The Male and Female Christian Athlete of the Year for the Valley FCA will be honored at the banquet and there will be an outstanding "silent auction" with framed pictures of famous sports figures.

Tickets for Huddle Coaches, Athletic Coaches and students may be purchased at a great discount price from the Huddle Coach of the respective school only! All other tickets will be ordered and paid for through the RGV-FCA office or the local FCA Leadership Board.
